Adidas shows 3D printed footwear from oceanic plastic

PARIS – Sportswear giant adidas has today revealed a new concept in footwear design, which has a 3D-printed shoe midsole made with recycled polyester and discarded plastic gill net content recovered from the sea. The new, innovative design was showcased on the occasion of COP21 with the Parley for the Oceans network and follows on from adidas’ first shoe made with discarded oceanic plastic waste earlier on this year.
